I took a trip to my local Salvation Army today and I couldn't believe what I found! As I was walking through the aisles I saw a shopping cart near the end. As I saw the cart I saw a horse sticking out over the edge of the cart, I was thinking to myself that that looked like Felicity's horse Penny. No one was by the cart and I asked nearby people if it was their cart and they all said no, so I took the horse and bought it! I was so happy! I found out it was Penny, she was not in the best condition as you can see, but I fixed her up! She was a Pleasant Company horse too!
Penny's hair was messy and knotted.
Her reins were broken
She had bandaids on her two front legs
The price tag was smugged, along with it written on her leg, but it said $6.86, but she was on sale for $5.15!
Her tail is very knotted and messy
Lastly, when I took off the bandaids I could see why they were there which was to cover up how chipped her legs were!!
Once again here is the before
and here is the after! Penny turned out amazing!
Penny's hair is not frizzy and brushed out very nicely
I hot glued her reins so it is fixed. They are screwed into her head so you can't take them off
she has very nice hair!
Her tail brushed out nicely too
I even fixed her chipped legs by painting them!! Before they were so bad, but I found a very similar color of paint and it worked!
again this is before of the legs
Here is the front of the legs after they were painted.
Lastly I gave her a saddle which I have found for 10 cents at a previous church garage sale!
